Tempers flared and an ugly fight erupted toward the end of an
exhibition basketball game in China between the Foshan Dralions and
Australia's Melbourne Tigers. According to the Shanghaiist,
it all started when a Tigers player (in maroon) tried to knock the ball
away from an opponent and then gave him a light jab after the play. The
Dralions player reacted immediately, taking an aggressive step toward
the Tigers' guard. Both benches cleared and a huge fight broke out.
It looked as if several Foshan bench players ran onto the court and
started using chairs as weapons. After everything settled down, the refs
called the game off and both teams went into the locker rooms.
This fight happened just over two months after the Georgetown Hoyas brawled with a Chinese team during a goodwill tour.
