UFC 137 press conference set for Las Vegas' own Brooklyn Bridge

Mixed martial arts may not yet be legal in New York, but that's not stopping the UFC from invading the Brooklyn Bridge – sort of.

UFC officials recently announced that Thursday's pre-UFC 137 press conference will take place outdoors in Sin City, as New York-New York Hotel & Casino's Brooklyn Bridge welcomes the fight promotion for the ceremony.

The fan and media event takes place at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT local time) on Thursday, Oct. 27, in Las Vegas.

The following Saturday's "UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz" event, which broadcasts on a combination of pay-per-view, Spike TV and Facebook, takes place at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center.

UFC president Dana White and new UFC 137 main-event competitors Nick Diaz and B.J. Penn are expected to attend the ceremony, as are main-card fighters Cheick Kongo, Matt Mitrione, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Roy Nelson.

The press conference will also stream live on UFC.com.
